The event has been moved to Sunday November 4.
“It’s disappointing that again we have been by the weather with this event. Even more so is the fact that the rain we did receive wasn’t even enough to significantly help our local farmers,” Macleay District Motor Cycle Club president Trent O’Donnell said.
“Even though the rain we had was minimal, the overcast sky and no sun to add the temperature to the track we needed to get it dried and ensure it was safe for the riders. In the end it comes down to rider safety over everything else.
“As a Club we need to thank our sponsors, The riders that entered and the many club members and volunteers who worked to get everything ready for the day. The level of assistance received this year with the event has been exceptional.
“We’ll refocus on the club racing for the next few months and getting the grass track venue finished and be back bigger and better on November 25th for the Akubra Classic.
“On an open level we have riders representing the club at the Newcastle international Supermoto this coming weekend and at the Australian Senior Dirt Track Championship in Gunnedah on the following weekend.”
