The Eagles soared to finish the regular season in great form and secure second position on the ladder.
The side then caused an upset against Grafton and booked their place in the decider, despite taking to the field with 17 players against a full squad of 22.
The Eagles will again be faced with an uphill battle when they take to the field with a reduced number of players on Sunday.
However, Eagles’ Ronda Colliver believes the side is capable of causing an upset.
“We will take the underdog tag into the game once again but we have a great little side and I am expecting them all to play really well and give it their all,” Colliver said.
“The boys and girls have been doing well all year and we are really proud of them.”
Ronda said there hasn’t been much separating the two sides when they have faced off this year and she’s expecting another close contest.
The Eagles Under-13s side is led by their captain Lamar Kelly and he’s the leading goal scorer for the club this year.
Kelly’s 47 goals has helped lead the side to the grand final and he is an instrumental part of the side.
However, Ronda knows the side will need to work as a team to earn the victory.
The Macleay Valley Eagles will hold their presentation on Sunday September 9 at 10am to 2pm at South Kempsey Oval.
