The nine-year-old dominated against Australia’s best riders and proved to be too fast for his opponents as he cruised to the victory in the modified class while he came from behind to earn the 65cc title.
Jayden was forced to claim the 65cc championship the hard way. The Kempsey resident was in fifth position heading into the second last lap but maneuvered his way past his opponents to finish the race in first place.
Meanwhile Jayden showcased his skill level in the modified division as he took the lead at the second corner of the first lap and led for the remainder of the final.
Jayden’s uncle Dylan Holder said the junior was “stoked” with the two victories.
“Some people chase an Australian title in this sport for their whole careers and Jayden now has three which is pretty special,” Dylan told the Argus.
“He’s been pretty consistent all year and has worked hard so he definitely deserves it.”
Jayden entered the final of the 65cc in first position after successfully winning all of his heats.
However, in the 85cc modified he faced a setback after he missed the jump and hit the gate in one of his heats.
Jayden was stranded at the back of the pack but recovered to finish in sixth place.
Jayden would like to thank his sponsors DCR Engineering, Triple S Motorcycles, John Warren Silkolene Oils, Goldentyre and 100 percent goggles for their support.
Jayden was joined by fellow Macleay District Motor Cycle Club junior members Jack Fritsch, Logan Davis and Taite Davis at the Australian Junior Dirt Track Championships.
All three competitors made it through to the final in their respective divisions.
Jack competed in the 65cc class, Logan participated in the combined 250 4st/125 2stk and Taite made it through to the finals in both 85cc classes.
It was an excellent result for all of the local juniors and Macleay District Motor Cycle Club president Trent O’Donnell was proud of the representatives.
“Congratulations to all of our members who competed on the weekend, you have done yourselves and your club proud,” O’Donnell said.
The juniors attention now turns to competing on their home track in the junior divisions of the Akubra Classic which is held on Sunday August 26.
