The Mustangs were outclassed 52-6 in their major semi-final last weekend, but Mustangs Under-18.5s coach Beau Russell-Docherty believes his side will be much improved this Saturday with more rest under their belt.
“They’ve played a lot of footy lately with their school and Mustangs committments,” Russell-Docherty said.
“We took it easy this week and focused on ball skills and getting their bodies right.”
The Mustangs will take confidence into the game as they earned the victory both times the sides clashed this year.
The Mustangs were victorious 24-10 at home before they held off the Hawks 22-12 on the road.
The winning side will advance to the play the loser of the Old Bar Pirates and the minor premiers the Port Macquarie Sharks, while the side which loses will be eliminated from the finals series.
