The Dockers took to the field proudly wearing Zaidee’s Foundation Rainbow laces.
The round is named in honour of Zaidee Turner who was just 7 years old when she died in 2004 from a Cerebral Aneurism. Zaidee donated her organs and tissues which resulted in the lives of seven other people being improved or saved.
Zaidee was the only child in Victoria under the age of 16 years to donate her organs and tissues in 2004.
The skill level of both sides was on display in the match and Dockers coach Mark Plummer was impressed with the development of his players throughout the season.
“All of the players continued to improve and their skills were at a new level compared to the start of the season,” Plummer said.
The Dockers narrowly missed out on a top four spot and won’t play in the finals.
The South West Rocks Dockers committee would like to thank Dave Cunningham and the board members of the South West Rocks Country Club for their support during the season.
Thanks also goes to the volunteers who assisted at each game, especially Glen Etheridge, Mick Moffatt, Steven Kane and John McKay.
