The Kempsey Saints were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw with the bottom-placed Wauchope at home on Saturday.

The Saints opened the scoring and took their advantage into the break, however, they weren’t able to go on with the job as the struggling Wauchope side levelled the scores and held on to share the competition points.
The disappointing result prevented the Saints from moving into third position on the ladder, but they do move level on competition points with Port United and the Taree Wildcats.
The Saints travel to Dixie Park next week to take on Port United in a battle for third spot.
Wauchope are still four competition points behind the eight placed Port Saints.
