Among them is local woman Patricia Berry.
Patricia, who works in South Kempsey for Akubra Hats and Macleay Options, says she loves the Kempsey show, which she attends every year.
The 53-year-old says she has outgrown the rides but her favourite part of the show is watching the show jumping and looking at the exhibitions in the hall.
In 2017, Patricia was stoked to win a $50 Woolworths’ voucher at the show and she hopes to have more good luck this year.
Another long-term showgoer out enjoying the show jumping is Fay Wicks.
Fay, who is originally from Kinchela, said she is interested in the show jumping because her family has been involved in the sport for many years, with her sons and grandsons former competitors.
“I also love to see the exhibits in the hall and the flowers,” she said.
