The club narrowly missed out on having an all Kempsey Saints grand final as Amy O’Brien’s Green side lost in a thrilling penalty shootout to the Waratahs in last Saturday’s preliminary final.
The game was locked at 1-a-piece at the end of extra-time and despite desperate saves from goalkeeper Gabee Underhill, the Waratahs held their nerve to advance.
O’Brien was absent as she is overseas while the side was missing three other regular players.
Saints White knocked off the minor premiers the Green team in a 3-1 victory in the grand final qualifier a fortnight ago.
White team coach Abigael Baker expressed it will be a victory for both women’s sides if they are able to secure a win against the Waratahs.
“It has been a huge effort from both team’s to achieve the success we have this year,” Baker said.
“The Green team has still came to training this week to help out and they will be there to cheer for us on Saturday.”
The match kicks off at Willawarrin at 12.45pm.
