Run by legendary Kempsey sporting identity Lloyd Hudson, the gym has been doing it tough of late and the fights are a way of ensuring the doors stay open.
Fifteen amateur exhibition bouts will be staged in a ring set up in the hotel car park, each fight being sponsored by a local business.
Fighters are coming from surrounding regions to take on some of Kempsey’s best young pugilists and give their support to this worthy cause.
There will also be a charity auction with the main attraction being an original signed Hudson boxing glove in a glass case with certificate of authenticity.
Later in the evening there will be entertainment in the hotel so you can make a night of it.
The Lloyd Hudson boxing exhibition fundraising afternoon gets underway at the Great Northern Hotel from 1pm, with first fighters in the ring from 4pm.
